The circle of comfortable

As I help my little girls choose a dress from their cupboard, it dawned on me there was a pattern to the choices that they make - they always settled for something that was comfortable. Despite my efforts to dig into the closet to look for stuff that they haven't worn for long or something that I thought was pretty, they would have none of it.

On the other end, the story is on similar lines with the elders. At this stage in life, comfortable footwear was a greater priority for the weary feet. No designer could convince them otherwise.

Somewhere in between, we seem to lose our sense for comfortable. In fact when you see a friend who has not lost his/her sense of comfortable, you actually ridicule them in your universe of vanity and peer pressure.

It takes a while to regain our sense of comfortable.

The truth is, the sooner we get it back, the more sorted our lives are.
