Visible vs. Invisible Success

When someone tries a hand at a new venture, we often seem to judge success based on monetary terms - topline (revenue) to be more precise. I have often wondered why this is the case, it's likely because this is a parameter that is visible. So success here is perceived on how much money is being made and everything related to that.
While this may be partially true, success can also have another often underestimated parameter - impact. Not all ventures necessarily need to be about the topline, there are plenty of ventures out there that are changing lives with the impact that they create. They may not be talked about in vc clubs or top 10 lists, but they are talked about in people's hearts and minds with immense respect.
While revenue and impact are more visible, there are also success parameters that are not visible. No one else will know if you have the right balance in your life, here the only person you need to please is yourself.
